The Yaesu FT-60R is a dual band HT and sells for $149.95 at HRO. But, I suspect it is in a larger size class of HTs.

> Alinco is the first our with a dual band HT, 2m + 70cm, for well under $200 to compete with the Wouxon I guess. It actually looks pretty good for a Ham Only radio. it also looks a heck of alot easier to use than the Wouxon. They both have a place I believe but for sure the Wouxon does NOT belong on the front lines of an emergency since it is NOT an easy radio to pass on to someone else to use who has never used it, hasn't got the manual, or hasn't got a PC & needed cable & software to reprogram the thing if needed just to add one repeater!
