I spoke with one of the guys, George?, yesterday on 146.730 on the way home & he said he'd be seeing John Creel, who ran the session for us last year, this Saturday and he'd ask him if he was planning on doing it again this year.

My problem is too little time when I get home I seem to always forget to try to call John to find out if he can make it & he hasn't been responding to email. I'll try emailing the chairman of the VEC as well to see if anything transpires.

I have requested material from ARRL. My goal is to be able to provide an exam to the 3 people that have requested one, I really don't care about which VEC is the authority but since I'm accredited as an ARRL VE that's where I have to get the material from. This decision is based on no firm commitment from anyone else to staff the exam. I am still 1 ARRL VE short of actually being able to have an exam. Other than the 1 form I've asked ARRL for I can print everything else on the fly from the software which I will dry run over the next few days just to be sure. If you know of a ARRL VE that could come to the hamfest please get them in touch with me so we have the staff to actually pull this off. We'll only need them from ~9:00-10:30 so they still have plenty of time to look around.

Andy
