Subject: [K3PZN-List] TEST - ARES Preparation for Ice Storm

Hi Folks;

THIS IS A TEST - THIS IS A TEST - THIS IS A TEST

Our new MDC ARES SEC has given us a little test. The weather forecast is
predicting heavy rains coming in from the Gulf bumping up with an Arctic
clipper from the North producing a gigantic ice and snow Octostorm across
much of the Section arriving Thursday night. We need to be ready for this.
Predictions of downed power lines, loss of Internet and phone lines abound.

Once again - THIS IS A TEST - there is really no such prediction. But just
imagine that it was true.......

Please review the five questions below and send me you response by Noon this
Friday October 5.

73; Steve, N3SB

1. Do you have a backup generator? y/n?

2. Do you have a Battery bank backup?

3. Do you have Winlink Nodes available to you, and which do they favor?

4. Are you Winlink WinMOR capable? If yes, what HF Gateways do you favor?

5. Do you do WinMOR Peer-to-Peer? If so, what bands?
