[K3PZN-List] FD Configuration?

I suggest we query the club on who will participate as operators AND setup/tear down duty. I hope we can find enough folk to at least be 3A: phone+cw+digital. If we can't staff a second phone station we could consider letting digital station also do some phone.
We could possibly also arrange to share antennas between modes, so we will have less stuff to deploy and take down. Also 3-4 HF transmitters makes inter-operability very easy!
I am willing to form a team, serving as captain or a member, for either phone or CW. I request 1-3 other folk to aid me in accomplishing this. If a second team emerges - we are set in supporting Mike to get FD 2012 off the ground! I can take whichover mode isn't taken by the other team.
This should be fun, if we stay within our practical limits. I already know of one new area resident who could join us, and also can work on others not attached anywhere.

Mike talked about it a little on the net last night. The current situation is:
- VHF Station
- Digital Station
As far as I know nobody else has expressed interest in setting up additional bands modes. If this is the setup then there isn't a lot of layout to think about. That being said I think we can put forward at least a SSB and CW station to get us to 3A but we'll need someone to captain those 2 stations in order to do so. Any takers?

Can someone post something on what is current thinking for arrangement of stations? I had emailed Mike but he has not had time to respond yet.
How many phone and CW stations are we considering?
My own preference is to reserve ONE phone station during 'prime time Saturday' hours for 'newer ops' or folk we wish to attract to participating with us, with suitable coaches as needed. Maybe this could be the 40m station. I suggest this not be a GOTA as we may not be able to staff it for 'all' of FD, and why not 'mainstream' these ops. If there are other opinions on how to do this let's merely address the need.
