Bill or Curt worked W1FD (or was it K1FD) on 40 mtr CW.

Andy worked W1AW on 40 mtr SSB.

Ray and Kerri worked several KH6's on 20 mtr SSB using Curt's two-element
tribander on the rocket launcher.

Andy tried to demonstrate SSB to a group of scouts using my K3 which had
never had a mike plugged into it. Didn't work. So, scouts went to Ray and
Kerri's RV for a demo. I had to get out the K3 manual to figure out how to
turn on the bias voltage needed for the electret mike. [Wasn't listed in
the Configuration Menu.] Later Saturday, Eric and his son had a pile up on
40 mtr. SSB using the K3.

Wish William, KB3GHE, (or his dad) had been around during setup of the 40
ft. mast. We couldn't remember how far to space the guy stakes from the
mast base. Had to relocate several stakes for the guy ropes to reach after
the mast was erect but not vertical. (William said later that the stakes
are spaced three mast sections from the base. We'll have to remember that
next year.)

After making trips to Royal Farms for hydration items, discovered during
tear-down on Sunday a working water faucet next to our shelter.

Good food Saturday evening. Andy has a fall-back profession. But, needs to
use a bit less seasoning on the chicken.

It was an interesting and fun weekend, but a bit warm during setup Saturday.

-Pete, W3GVX
