CCARC Meeting May 14, 2012

  Andy Leeds, WO3L, called the meeting to order at  7:39 PM. 9   
members and 0 guests in attendance.

Committees:
Treasury –
$80 in dues received and interest received.
Website paid.

DCS –
ARES/RACES supported MS Walk at CCC.  Three members helped.
Last RACES drill was last week.  Start again in September.
Tues. nets!  Steve will not make it next week and will need a sub-in.
Chuck, N3TOT - We need to think about packing up and storing the club  
station.  The EOC is going to be in construction soon.  Our new space  
may grow a bit.  We need to clear out the place when given the word.   
Maybe we could divvy it up amongst the members?
The space at the new EOC has been wired and wired up well.

Repeaters –
Memorial Day weekend (Saturday) to put the power amp back in service  
and change connectors out.  Morning worth of work.
Field Day -
Station captains needed!
Andy is working on food – tell him what you would like.
At Gamber VFD as last year.
N3VLP – Mike Fisher, coordinator.
New Biz
Motion:  Inverter Generator purchase – NTE $2000.  Issue deferred by  
board.  Should we just rent one when needed?
Lack of quorum.  Vote deferred until June.

Presentation:
Fox hunting – Andy presented the Handi-Finder.com phased antenna  
system for locating signals.  Transmitter – Micro-fox 15 by Byonics.
