Storm Recovery Volunteers Needed: Prepare and Distribute Food to Families In Need    
Dear Friends & Supporters,

As you know, a severe, hurricane-strength storm ripped through our area over the weekend, and many are still without power in this sweltering heat. 

The Salvation Army "canteen" is a van managed by small groups of volunteers to travel through areas of critical need distributing food and other supplies.  They are increasing the trips over the next couple of days and they desperately need volunteers to help assemble sandwiches and distribute them. 

Volunteers will meet at the Salvation Army warehouse in Hampden over the course of this week, at least through Friday.  Shifts will be from 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM and 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM.     

Please call Salvation Army before arriving at the warehouse.  To sign up for a shift, call Peggy Vick, Director of Volunteer Services with the Salvation Army, at 443.677.6468. 

Please consider volunteering and/or spreading the word to all of your professional and personal contacts.
