This may be of interest to some members:

Adams County Amateur Radio Society (ACARS) and Adams County ACS will be
hosting a General License class on consecutive Monday evenings starting 
Feb.
6, 2012 and ending March 26, 2012. A free Laurel VEC exam will be April 
2 at
7:00 administered by the Keystone VE team. All classes will be held at the
Adams County Emergency Services Center four miles east of Gettysburg just
off US Rt 30. There will also be some portions of the class held in the
Adams County EOC Amateur Radio facility (same location).

"Classes". Students will need to purchase the ARRL General Class Manual in
advance, no other fees other than the text book. Info to purchase the text
book is on the W3KGN web link provided.

Feel free to distribute to your membership or anyone you know is looking to
upgrade their ticket. Class size will be limited to 15 students. We have
eleven spots open at this time so we suggest if someone is interested in
upgrading they should enroll as early as possible to insure a place in the
class.
