In theory the double bazooka does not need a 1:1 balun. I don't have one
on either of the ones I have here and don't have any problems from
feedline radiation that I know of, even when running near 1500W. If you
have a balun on hand, or a few ferrite clamps to put on the coax right
next to the antenna it wouldn't hurt anything to use them.
