[K3PZN-List] Future VE Sessions at our hamfets

Good Afternoon Everyone,

I just joined the CCARC a couple months ago, but have been unable to attend
the meetings because life's been busy with my four-month-old (who "helped"
me work some 10M DX this weekend).  I hope to make it to the next meeting.

I am an extra-class VE through the ARRL and I would be happy to help out at
exam sessions (I can't imagine it would be that different to get accredited
through another VEC).  This weekend's hamfest was great as always!

I suggest we try to staff this from our own club - by getting enough of us
accredited with that VEC.  While that gang is clearly willing, we could
support the VE session when we have sufficient manpower overall during the
hamfest event.  
 
Not that I bought much, I was impressed with the stuff tailgaters had
brought - definitely a high ham radio content.  Also the two significant
accessories suppliers was an excellent opportunity for shoppers.

I asked and the Laurel group is willing to come out next year, last Sunday
og October for the Hamfest.
 
Let me know if that date changes & I'll coordinate with the Laurel group.
 
Also, any Amateur Extra that wants to help at a Laurel session only needs to
bring a copy of the license to give to them and they'll train you at the
session.
