I tend to agree with Jeff that repair of this may be more costly than what you paid for the rig.   (I don't necessarily agree with his thought that domestic is always better - in general they have priced themselves out of the lower cost rig market.  I do confess to owning one domestic and one far east rig - I am happy with both of them).  
 
I presume you mean the unsettling noise is on receive?  
 
It is important to rule out the power supply, to insure it is not at fault.  Checking its output voltage with the rig on receive, and (briefly) on transmit may tell you if it might be at fault.

Hello everyone 

Ray here (kb3vwk) well my 200$ Yasue ft 840 that I bought in June died during the cw contest tonight.  I was wondering if anyone could offer a good repair company.  It won't transmit and there was lots of unsettling electrical noises.  So time to unplug and regroup and ship out.
