Curt,
Gary Sessums, POC for WAR is an Air Force MARS member. Their main effort
will be supporting WAR and responding to the contacts they make.
MARS actually no longer uses LSB. All services, all bands are USB. But for
this special event, we are back on LSB.

MARS?)
Each May these operations take place - this year on May 14. For those who
are
DX or have not heard of this - something here in US is for Mil stations to
transmit on their frequencies, and listen split (in the ham bands) to make
contact with amateurs. Some operators are 'mil type' in their procedures
while
others are 'ham type.' It's fun!
I have found the list of stations on the web, but only Army and Navy seem to
be
represented (at least in the list). Anyway know about USAF operations?
Note these stations are all over the map - including KH6.
I also see that some stations plan on CW operation - kinda cool to send WAR
DE
WB8YYY UR 599 BK(WAR is Pentagon this year ...).
Anyway its a nice diversion. 73 Curt
