Eric
We would be thrilled by your participation !
Tommorrow before 2 pm folk will be still setting up their stations. At 2 pm, we start making contacts - and we operate for 24 hours. 2 pm Sunday we start tearing down. So anytime you are welcome!
My suggestions -- do stop by and operate at a few of our phone (SSB stations). The operator will teach you the ropes, and get you making some contacts. Essential we call 'CQ field day' and one or more stations answer. We pick out their full call if you can, otherwise we might say something like 'station with 3-Romeo please go ahead.' We get there call, and say 'kilo bravo 3 romeo pa-pa pa-pa 9-alpha Maryland' -- we get his/her reply and log it, and on to another contact.
If your time is scarce tommorrow -- I suggest coming in the late afternoon, doing some operating, and eating with the gang at supper time. Then you can ask even more questions. After working at one of the phone stations, seek out WX3B Jim -- who will then help you become an even better operator. Stop by the digital station - its in a very cool little box - and also visit with the CW ops to watch what they are doing. I got a feeling you will learn fast. Looking forward to meeting you.

If I can squeeze some time in, I am hoping to stop by field day tomorrow and learn what it is all about. Would that be ok? If so, is any particular time better than others?
Thanks
