[K3PZN-List] Meeting Minutes - Field Day Preps

I thought the minutes contained enough current Field Day info that the  
club might need in the coming week it warranted getting them out early.

CCARC Mtg June 13, 2011

  Andy Leeds, WO3L, called the meeting to order at 7:36 PM. 13   
members and 2 guests in attendance.

Committees:
Treasury ?
May ? Income $30.56, Expenses $81.45.  Expenses include internet  
charge and bank charge.
DCS ?
August 27th , 9 am to 3 pm, Emergency Expo at Loews Westminster.  It  
was agreed that our club will participate.  Ideas for display see  
Charles Cunningham, N3TOT.  The displays will be inside and outside  
the bldg.  Andy needs about a parking space sized area for an idea he  
has.
Repeaters ?
Andy sent out an email giving details about the state of the  
repeaters.  July 4th to get remaining parts and put together the  
replacements and final install.
Budget -
Andy and Pete reported the budget.  On the facilities (EOC):  we are  
waiting for the county to figure out what they want to do to the  
building and then we can decide on our investment in addition.
Budgeted Income - $4600.00
Budgeted Expenses - $4330.00
W3JJH moved to approve the budget.
WX3B Seconded the motion.
All in favor ? the motion carried and the budget is now approved.
Field Day -
Jim Nitzberg, WX3B, reported on the preparations ? There are still  
some stations open!
Recommendation to make a donation to the Gamber VFD for hosting the event.
Current station status:
VHF open
80M SSB Open?
10M SSB ? John, W3JJH , and Bill, NY3M
15, 40, maybe 80 CW ? Curt, WB8YYY
W3JJH to contact Pat Kilroy for satellite contact ? bonus points!
Alternate Power ? W3JJH to supply solar
Educational - May be Pat Kilroy, again.
GOTA Station?  W3JJH
10 NTS Messages - WB3YYY
NB3B ? media relations, public relations.
Politician visit ? K3RTW
Breakdown help is still needed.
Andy to supply burgers and dogs with cooking platform.  Snacks and  
drinks are BYO.
Field Day Computer Network - TBD
Band pass filters ? station captains must supply (beg, borrow, etc.).
