[K3PZN-List] Fw: [QRP-L] SOTA alert - Mt Adams, NH activation

This is a posting of a radio enthusist taking a significant upward hike and operating his rig - in this case SSB tommorrow.  No he is not carrying a 'MP up the mountain - but perhaps he will have enough signal for a QSO to our area.  SOTA (mountain peaks) is a rather new thing, similar to IOTA (islands) that is trying to catch on.

After 4 days of cold rain, the WX has finally improved so decide to go for a 
hike up Mt Adams and bring some radio gear. I'm heading up to a cabin near 
tree line this afternoon for the night, then doing the final 1.5 miles to 
the summit tomorrow morning.
