Hi Curt,
My wife's boss used to be a licensed amateur and very into CW. Of course as
an expired licensed amateur he cannot operate without a licensed operator
present. Would it be possible to allow him to operate during Field Day
daylight? He wants to show his son what Field Day is all about an operate
if possible.

To ALL CCARC members --
I am confident our FD team, well-led by Jim, truly wants all to join us -- I
just want to re-iterate that point!
Don't let our 'contesting framework' scare you off if you are not a die-hard
(or even casual) contesting enthusist. It is mostly our mechanism to get a
set of operating positions in place, well integrated with logging software.
We plan to practice the radio art in skilled fashion, yet in a casual
atmosphere of 'come and operate a rig.' This means that if you can operate
a rig doing either digital, CW and/or SSB -- we have places for you to
participate.
I remember in the past operating with K4CGY on 80m phone, having N3SB
literally invite me to operate his brand new K3, learning the VHF operating
art from W3JJH, etc. Last year Tony even set up a data link with the
CARA/PVRC FD site. Do contact Jim with your interests, and I hope to
operate with you this FD.
73 Curt
