Today Steve, Matt, John, Chuck and I installed the new repeaters at the
Westminster site. They are now available for general use.

If anyone has a code sheet with user (or control) codes from the old
repeaters those are now invalid I will have updated information at the
meeting tomorrow.

A few usage notes:
1. There are a set of fail safe timers on 2m/70cm such that the repeater
transmitter must be allowed to unkey for 1 second every 20 minutes.
Shouldn't be noticeable to most people.
2. The link modes are always PL required, so to go through both
repeaters you have to run PL (best advice is to just set PL
encode/decode and leave it on all the time)
3. All three repeaters will link and go to PL required at 2300L each
evening, returning to carrier sql and unlinking at 0600L.
4. The 3 minute time-out timer resets with the courtesy tone, if the
repeater times out there must be 5 seconds of inactivity before the
timeout clears.

I hope we see some improved coverage on 2m based on the better receiver
and duplexer. 70cm may also be a bit better based on the newer receiver.
I think 6m will be unchanged unless we disturbed something in the cables
etc in the process.

Please use and enjoy the new system.

     53.090 PL 107.2
    145.410 PL 114.8
    449.875 PL 127.3

Andy
