Thanks Chuck.
We got a lot of work done today. A lot of the old equipment was removed
from the site, I have all the parts I need at my workbench to finish the
integration of the new repeaters. Thanks to Larry, Matt, and Steve for
helping haul the boat anchors out of the repeater site.
The bad news is there isn't much room to move in my shack right now due
to all the equipment.
Steve and I installed the 6m repeater into the new rack (also fixed a
lingering audio and logic issue), we installed a 12V supply for the 2m
PA, installed the 2m PA and checked out the tx spectrum. As of right now
the machines are working and the 2m/70cm are connected to my 60'
antenna, should be able to hear them near Finksburg.
For Monday we have wire labeling, documentation, controller programming
(basic setup in place), creating a baseline for all the transmit power
levels and receiver sensitivity, wiring in the control receiver, and
making permanent coax jumpers. There is also a metalworking challenge to
make the new cans fit in the old wall bracket. That should keep us busy
for a few hours. I should be up and about by 9:30.
Andy
