[K3PZN-List] Carroll EOC Activation this evening - hams placed on standby alert

Hi Folks;

The Carroll County Emergency Operations Center is activating this  
evening at 9:00 PM, due to the expected ice/snow storm headed for the  
area. Jim Weed, Carroll's Emergency Manager, has asked that we be on  
stand-by to provide support if required. We will probably not be  
needed this evening, but there is a chance we'll be asked to provide  
support tomorrow at the EOC and at the club station.

Review your pre-activation checklists. Consider that an ice storm can  
cause power outages, and can damage communcations antennas.

Let me know if you can be available tomorrow to staff either location.  
For now we'll assume that staffing shifts will last four hours,  
starting at 8:00 AM.

No need to respond if you cannot be available.
