[K3PZN-List] Repeater Updates

For the Feb meeting it would be enlightening to much of the club to have a
technical presentation on our 410 repeater.  A possible outline:

    - history - when was this installed, and was it our first repeater in
Carroll County ?
    - what has changed over the years ?  any 'interesting' major mishaps with
it?

    - a technical description of the current repeater -- antenna, duplexer,
receiver, exciter, transmitter, controller, power supply (of course a few photos
would help, along with some dB's).

Yes this can be succinct - an overview.

This of course would be followed by part 2 - what will be recommended (or
further studied) to move forward.

Note Part A not only will make the meeting more interesting, it will help the
club-at-large understand some of what you all will be talking about in Part B.

You also have me wondering how antiquated the 285 machine might be in comparison
?  No reply needed - save it for the Feb meeting.  Thanks for getting it back on
the air.

Subject: [K3PZN-List] Repeater Updates

For anyone that it interested I'd like to have a technical meeting of
the repeater committee on 5 Feb 2011 (exact time & place tbd) to devise
a plan for updating the equipment at the Westminster site. The goal of
this meeting will be to draw up requirements and have a presentation for
the Feb club meeting.

In other news the 147.285 machine is back on the air.

Andy
