[K3PZN-List] Paper QSLs are Not Quite Extinct!

I am told I have a half lb of QSLs coming my way - a real hoot as I am not a big
active station like WX3B (who might get this many each month).  Actually it's
likely a one-time thing as my buro sorter ran out of my envelopes (maybe a
couple years ago) - and was gracious enough to hold onto them.  So perhaps a few
'new ones' could be in the box, and some more entities on top band (I am sure no
one but me is curious).  No surprise my sorter is an 8Y - but interestingly he
appears in my novice log on page 2 - so I will have to send him a WN8YYY QSL
along with payment for this mailing and some stamped envelopes.

I do sense that paper QSLs are going by the wayside as even in bulk postage
rates are many times higher than when I was first licensed.  And there is much
less effort in processing them via LOTW (with my log program its automated).
Still it may be interesting to see what is in the box!

With Spring I am not only thinking of gardening - its time for 6m to get busy
with sporadic E.  My PVC-wire 2 element quad needs a new coax attached - then it
will be airborne again.  Also on my plate is adding some surge protectors to the
antenna farm, and connecting my shack ground to the utility ground (they are
only 100 feet apart).  I also was reminded again that static-charged antennas
can be a hazzard to rigs as my K2 was zapped - but fortunately only 2 schottky
diodes that have been since replaced, and I added an alpha-delta switch to bleed
off charges.
