Stu Benner, W3STU, and I are going to try
a compatibility test tomorrow night on the
air.

YOU ARE INVITED to join our madness!

This is in preparation of the CarrollSat-2
high-altitude balloon launch this coming
Sunday morning from our last Mason-Dixon
Hamfest & Computer Show of the decade.

Shortly after 9:00 P.M. EDT Wednesday,
October 20, I will fire up a flight module
on the telemetry downlink frequency of
433.920 MHz FM and AM. Signal reports
will be accepted on the club repeater
145.410 MHz FM K3PZN/R PL 114.8 (or the
449.875 MHz with PL 127.3 as a back up)
for any of up to three power stages
during the test.

The telemetry is in Morse Code.

I will be transmitting the telemetry from
my home QTH which can be found on the
APRS Googlemap map at:

http://www.findu.com/cgi-bin/find.cgi?call=N8PK

Stu is located in Hampstead, and so the
flea power link attempt ought to be an
interesting attempt indeed. Perhaps
even madness!

Go to the CarrollSat-2 announcement page
at:

http://simsat.net/carrollsat/

for information about Sunday's experiment
or to get the link to the CwGet software
package.

Even for the finest CW ops, copying even
these simple telemetry numbers can be very
tiring after a few minutes. So, that is
why we are promoting to use a software
reader. CwGet can save copy to an ASCII
text file.

Thank you for your support.

Should be fun!

Cheers,

Pat Kilroy
