[K3PZN-List] Bird Termailine Model 82A

Thanks for all the help everyone.

I sent a copy of my email to Joel at TheRFC when I posted my original email
on the reflector. He says he has nothing but has forwarded my email to
others who might help.

Here is a shortened link to the photo:

Please note that the dielectric in the connector on the Bird Termaline is
flush with the threaded outer shell, similar to a UHF SO-239 connector but
much larger in diameter. When the four screws on the flange are removed,
the outer shell can be removed but the dielectric stays with the load.
When the dielectric is removed, oil pours out, unfortunately.

I found additional pictures of the 82A load on the web that show a shell
over the dielectric with a square flange on both ends. It looks like the
second flange on the mating end might be an adapter to the Bird Quick Change
(QC) system or similar.

Still researching. Thanks again for all the help. I'm getting reply emails
from many.

I may contact Bird but I suspect the cost of an adapter from Bird would
approach what I paid for the load.
