[K3PZN-List] what!

Best to not agitate this topic too much - the issue gets to be who is a 'casual
seller' and who is a merchant (one who sells regularly and meets some kind of
revenue threshold (??) that I do not know). You can imagine the profit benefit
(yes something like 6%) of a regular hamfest merchant who disguises as a
tailgater. I can imagine they are stepping up enforcement at any gathering where
they perceive there is lots of commerce. Since we aren't making moonshine (like
perhaps some of my relatives down there) - best that 'ambitious' seller's know
the law and abide by it. Unless the authorities have the ability to value the
merchandise or the cash flow, and perhaps ID the participants at multiple
hamfests - the enforcers also have a challenge (which could give us a bad name
collectively if ham sellers do not keep clean records and abide by the law). I
sense anyone who brings a sizeable inventory to a hamfest should get familiar
with the law and keep good records (on both inventory and cashflow). All --
Let's NOT openly discuss anything contrary to law on this reflector, not that I
am implying that anyone is in violation (I honestly do not know! - maybe I
should run for office -- no, I am at least that smart).

Hello guys!. Glad I'm in va. we have fiscal problems some times. But, as far as
I know, we haven't started taxing yard sales and the like. Like tailgating at
ham fest> Guess it's a sign of the times. The tax dept should save the w/e
salaries of the agents and apply it to the state deficit . LOL
best regards to all
