Dear CCARC field day enthusiasts and guests,
Hard to believe, but this weekend's field day is ALMOST here!
The board of directors at the Gamber VFD were very kind to us this year and granted us use of their beautiful facilities.
I am anxiously awaiting confirmation that we will be able to begin our setup at 2:00pm this Friday (some of us are arriving a few hours after setup begins).
Our administrative contact and liason is Mr. Tom Flater, so if you are at field day setup early Friday and curious folks are giving you strange looks, please make sure you tell them about the radio club, field day, and our association with Tom Flater.
Here is the summary of planned events at the 2010 CCARC/CCC field day:
1. Field Day setup: Begins at 2:00pm Friday (subject to confirmation from Tom Flater of Gamber VFD)
2. Setup continues early Saturday morning
3. Field day OPERATIONS begin at 2:00pm Saturday afternoon and continue until 2:00pm Sunday
4. Field Day dinner is served at 6:00pm. Dinner will be BBQ hamburgers, chicken, side dishes and drinks.
5. Field day breakfast (breakfast sandwiches) is served Sunday morning….eat hearty, you might not eat again until AFTER field day.
6. Field day TEAR DOWN begins shortly after the 2:00pm end of activities.
