CCARC Mtg May 10, 2010

President Andy Leeds, WO3L, called the meeting to order at 7:37 PM.   
Eighteen members and two guests were present.
The minutes from the April club meeting were accepted with no  
corrections or additions.
Treasurer's Report
Pete, W3GVX, presented the Treasurer's report ? ?We are solvent.?  A  
full report was made available to the members.  Contact Pete for  
further details.

Committee Reports
Repeater
Larry and Andy removed the 6m from its old location to a new location.  
It is not optimal but is improved.
ARES/RACES
Drill May 11, 7:30
Scenario ? Atlantic hurricane of untold strength.  Gale force beyond  
cat 4 storm
ARES net Tuesday 8:30
Bill, N3WM, calls the social net a rousing success!  Last Weds. Of the  
month.  Reminder to come out on the reflector.

Field Day:
Meeting with the CC Contesters went well and there were  
representatives at this meeting.
Gamber is a GO!
There was a discussion after the meeting regarding who will captain  
the bands.  Our current volunteers were mentioned.

General Discussion:
Mike, N3VOP, - Hagerstown may move their Hamfest to Father's Day.   
Would we consider moving the tailgate to Father's Day?
Need to check on site availability.

Presentation
Mike, N3VOP, presented audio of contacts on 6m with Pitcairn Island,  
space station, satellites, etc.

The Meeting adjourned at 8:10 PM
Next BOD is Wednesday, May 19th , 7:30 PM at the CCEOC
Topic: budgets.
The next club meeting will be held on June 14th, 7:30 PM at the CCEOC  
as usual.
