I am not a CAT expert, but I sense because CAT is 2 way only one PC can be hooked up to a rig at a time. A program like N1MM or Writelog needs access to the rig for band/frequency info - and this allows you to place the 'run' stations onto a bandmap.
If you use a second PC for MixW, it really does not need to know band or frequency.
You might research if anyone has integrated MixW into N1MM. I know this is done with MMTTY, and the result is that you only have to type the callsign one time to QSO and log. For run operation this is preferred, otherwise the other stations in the pileup won't stick around. But I don't know if there is an arrangement for doing this is PSK31 - but the mode tends to operate slower than RTTY. If your monitor is big enough, you might consider running both N1MM and MixW on the same PC - one keyboard is more sane.

Subject: [K3PZN-List] Running N1MM and MixW together?
Hello all,
I am planning on running N1MM for logging and MixW with my RigExpert interface for station control and mode software. Can I parallel my CAT jack on the ProII with both my MixW and N1MM laptops? Last year, I do not recall that my rig control computer (MixW) and the logging computer were tied together, even though the logging computer was networked to the other FD Stations. Is it a matter of networking the control and logging computers together?
