David Charles Blanchard, 70, of <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Westminster, died January 21, 2010 at Carroll Hospice Dove House.
 
Born May 16, 1939 in Bangor, Maine he was the son of Marguerite Moore Blanchard of Westfield, MA and the late Charles L. Blanchard.  He was the husband of 46 years to Deborah Blanchard.
 
He was a retired Computer Systems Analyst for the Social Security Administration.  He served in the Air Force as a Navigator in the 77th Bomb Squadron in Vietnam.  He loved to golf and was a Ham Radio Operator (N3II).
 
Surviving in addition to his wife and mother is son and daughter-in-law Donald and Amanda Blanchard of Taneytown; daughter Susan Ann Santana of Westminster; siblings Mary Berube of Goshen, MA, Robert Blanchard of Somes Bar, CA, Sharon Marks of Westfield, MA and 4 grandchildren, Jared, Jason, Jessica and Joshua.
 
The family will receive friends at the Pritts Funeral Home and Chapel, 412 Washington Rd., Westminster on Wednesday from 10:30 am until 12:30 p.m.
 
Graveside services will be held with military honors on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Finksburg MD. Officiating will be Deacon Joseph Cinquino from St. John Catholic Church.
 
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Carroll County Humane Society, 2517 Littlestown Pike, Westminster, MD  21158.
