[K3PZN-List] Computer woes update :)

Well I got the new drive (had to order one store was out of stock).

I am double checking things this time around.

Drive is detected and it spins up but I have noticed when trying to re-install caddy that it appears "taller" than old drive (only about a mm or two).

But enough appearantly because it doesn't seem to settle into position (or not as easily as the orignal drive the PC came with).

I currently mounted it in the second drive position (but this isn't a two drive caddy so it isn't installed into the chassis just one screw hole).

Will a 7200 rpm drive be too much vibration for a drive just hanging there by one screw hole ?

(I do not have a two drive caddy for a Dell Dimension 2350 or a drive rail kit, I have a second cdrw I am not using so could replace with HD)

PS Phil, where did you get that USB adapter for IDE drives ? I think that's great for troubleshooting than using an actual enclosure.
