[K3PZN-List] Antenna Work

trust me - Pete has the technology to do this from the ground ... but the cold
temps are an obvious obstacle right now.

for getting modest heights a product known as Hyper-Dog works well -- it
literally uses tennis balls that are launched by the sling shot.  if you obtain
one of these, you will be ready when the temp is a bit milder.  ideally you can
attach a fishing reel to one of these with hose clamps -- and that is all you
need.  (plus some patience as nearly often the line gets into something below
the tree, or in its lower branches).

note for an 80m dipole I don't except a large difference for a something like 25
vs 35 feet -- mainly in doubling height do you experience a larger difference.
and it depends on your aim - whether to work USA and occasional DX versus trying
to work VK and ZL.

Subject: [K3PZN-List] Antenna Work

I have an 80M dipole I would like to get in the air but my days of climbing
trees and ladders are behind me. If anyone knows of someone local I could hire
that does that type of work I would appreciate it if you could pass along their
name.

Thanks

Doug
