CCARC Mtg July 13, 2010

President Andy Leeds, WO3L, called the meeting to order at 7:39 PM.   
18 members and two guests in attendance.
Began with introductions all around the room.
Minutes accepted
Committees:
Treasury ?
June spent $108.01 included Field Day (FD) expenses
No payments have been made to Gamber for the FD expenses or food.   
Andy, WO3L took the action to investigate what payment is to be made.
DCS ?
Meeting on the 4h Monday of the month.
Liberty Discount Marine: No problem picking up 2nd generator for  
Sailboat Show price.
Repeaters ?
Working as expected, packet working as expected.
There was a question about the 145.41 PL tone.  The tone is optional  
between Midnight and 6 am.  Andy will check on the website and settings.
Field Day -
Anthony's, KB3RJH, daughter had a great time and is still talking about it.
We racked up 150+ contacts.  It was a successful weekend by all accounts.
New Biz
Food bill:  Jim, WX3D, did not send a bill.
Suggested $100 donation to Gamber VFD for use of grounds.
Was there a required payment to Gamber for FD?  None this year.  We  
would like to donate something.
Carroll County Contesters may have already handled the donation.  Andy  
will check on it.
Suggestion: discuss donation prior to FD.
$80 spent of $200 budgeted.
Tony, KF3AK, stated that we used to go there in the past but stopped  
because of the required fee ($400) at the time.

Announcements:
Pat Kilroy, N8PK ?
1.Chance for PICketSAT launch July 24th morning Sykesville/Eldersburg  
(backyard).
2.Success in the last 2 wks talking packet tones on telemetry.  Kudos  
to N3SB for steering the tech design.
Pat to put info on reflector to all.
Mike, N3VDP ? BRATS Hamfest 7/18 ? Howard County Fairgrounds
