The Antietam Radio Association invites you and your friends to The Great 
Hagerstown Hamfest on Saturday May 1st.  **_ Yes it is Saturday this 
year._** *

*It is located at the  Washington County Agriculture Center just South  of
Hagerstown on the State Route 65 or Sharpsburg Pike.  Easy access  from I
70, just head south on Route 65 only 6.5 miles and it is on the  left hand
side,  just follow the signs. *

General Admission     Still just $5.00 (Children 12 & under free)*

*More details:*

*Weather - The weather may be hot or  cold , wet or dry, but we don't 
care at the Hagerstown Hamfest.  The four pavilions and large main 
building gives our vendors and you the protection from  the weather.  *

*Food     -  Food Concession Stand serving Breakfast and Lunch*

*Family - Bring the children, there is a large play area to entertain 
them.  Matter of fact bring the whole family, we have picnic tables for 
your lunch in a covered pavilion.  After the Hamfest you and the family 
can stop at the Prime Outlets.*

*Vendors - We have plenty of space for vendors with a large main
building and the four pavilions, plus the open air parking area for  those
that like to be under the sun.  *

Tailgating - $5.00 Per Space *
* Main building - Inside Tables are - $10.00  In Advance,  $15.00 - Day 
of Hamfest
**Vendor set-up is available after 5:00 PM Friday for those with large 
displays.  *

*Group meeting -  If you belong to a group that would like to have a 
gathering during the hamfest we have just the place for you.  Just let  me
know.*

*Talk-In   -  On the 147.090+ Repeater   (backup - 146.94) (no PL on 
either machine)*

*Area Features - Antietam Battlefield is only 4 miles south of the 
Hamfest Site and there are Commercial Eating Establishments and the  Prime
Outlets at the 1-70 exit*

7:00 AM                Building Opens for Attendees   ( Vendors my setup 
Friday evening after 6:00 PM )
8:00-12:30 PM     Various Prize Drawings on The Hour
9:00-10:00 AM     Speaker  - Bob Zimmerman - Topic -  Hubble Space 
Telescope,
10:00AM               ARA 55 Anniversary Cake is served again this  year
10:00-11:00 AM   ARRL Forum  - Jim Cross WI3N  Section Manager MDC      
11:00 AM              Odds and Ends Auctions in main building - Al Brown

12:30 PM              Grand Prize Drawing
1:00 PM                ARRL VEC Team Amateur License Exams  ( please 
check in for exam between 12:30-12:45 PM)*
