Everyone is welcome to check into the monthly American
Radio Relay League (ARRL) Maryland-DC Section-wide
Echolink Net on this Friday evening, September 18, at
8:00 pm.

You may use RF on a local VHF or UHF repeater or use the
free downloadable Echolink computer software, available
at <http://www.echolink.org>, to check in.

The Echolink net is hosted on node 6154, the "WASH_DC"
server. We thank John Creel, WB3GXW, for the use of
his Echolink server and the 147.225 MHz repeater in
Silver Spring, Maryland during these nets. You can use the FARG
repeater on 146.730, PL 141.3, to check on the air.

The Echolink nets are a place to exchange announcements
and let others know what is going on in clubs, ARES®
groups and amateur radio in general within the MDC
Section. The nets also allow us to become familiar with
conferencing via Echolink in case it is ever needed
during and emergency.
