I haven't done this yet - but I see folk are having fun with it. Taking rigs to nice places and operating! I have worked a few of these folk at play
This comment is in fun -- OK i can see WY3P/p with a hummer carrying a big amplifier to remote parts of MD ! Who knows it might happen maybe for a VHF contest! (The Grid Pirates do this at least once each year -- W8GP).
Usually when I get to remote places I don't have a rig, but my rigs are small enough ....
73 - make some RF and explore what others are doing -- i also gotta finish my PC to rig interfaces for some CW contesting ! (just got to move my rig's serial interface, then plug in CW cable that is already made -- fix the PC settings ... N1MM already working ... there is hope!)
