Dear CCARC,

Thank you for the honor of offering the technical
presentation at our hamfest this Sunday. As noted
on the updated SimSat-4 mission web page under
http://simsat.net my working title is " SimSat,
High-Altitude Payloads, Microcontrollers and More."

Rich and I might also have a demo, if a little
additional help is available. Here are some
requests, for those who are not already over
booked on Sunday . . .

1. Please bring a portable radio (an HT is fine) that
you can tune to 433.920 MHz FM, plus or minus 100 kHz
in 5 kHz (or smaller) steps, to copy the downlink
code.

2. Please bring any microcontroller project you may
have made in the past year to offer as a "show 'n'
tell" opportunity. If it is mounted on a solderless
breadboard then that would be even better!

3. Invite your friends, fellow hams, AND YOUNG
PEOPLE (at least one) and a teacher. This is also
an education forum in a sense, although not advertised
exactly as such.

4. I NEED SOMEONE to please help me transport the
helium cylinder from my home (near MD 97 and Bartholow
Road, about 5 miles south of the club station) to the
Hamfest early in the morning on Sunday. A minivan or
pickup truck would be fine. We just need to be able
to STRAP DOWN the tank to hold it firmly for the short
ride. Call me 301-286-1984 days or 301-537-7645 eves
ASAP if you can help. Thank you!

5. Steve N3SB -- can you please update the club web
page to add my title, and to correct the typo regarding
the annual hamfest anniversary year. ISN'T IT OUR
TWENTIETH? (The "19th" is listed on one page.)

Congratulations to the club on this major milestone!

6. Rich N3III -- please let me know if you need either
a pressure transducer or a transmit module for your
latest skunkworks attempt. I can bring a spare or two
from work to place in your HAND if you let me know
soon. Anything else??

7. I will try to borrow a PowerPoint Projector for
the presentation but it's not a done deal. Have we
a back up? Thank you.

This will be a productive and fun day for all!

Cheers,

Pat Kilroy
