Carroll County Amateur Radio Club
Meeting Minutes, 11 May 2009

President Andy Leeds, WO3L called the meeting to order at 7:37 PM.  
Fifteen members and 3 guests were present.

The meeting started with introductions around the room.

Evening Presentation:

Andy WO3L gave a presentation to the club about Direction Finding an  
interference source at his previous QTH in Florida.

Announcements:

The next CCARC meeting will be on Monday June 8th 7:30 PM at the  
Emergency Services Training Center in Westminster.

The next Board meeting will be on Wednesday May 20, 7:30 PM at the  
Emergency Services Training Center in Westminster.

The station and site cleanup was last Saturday May 2. Scrap metal was  
recycled, and a new tarp was put on top of the generator.

The Maryland-DC Section now has an ARRL Affiliated Club Coordinator –  
Bob Montagne N3REM.

Pat N8PK passed out some Shuttle Mission Commemorative Launch cards.

 From the mailbag:

No mail was received.

Secretary’s Report: The report was accepted as published on the reflector.

Treasurer’s Report:

Pete W3GVX presented the treasurer’s report, detailing current  
balances, income, and expenses. The report was accepted by the  
membership present.

Committee Reports:

ARES / RACES: The Carroll County Office of Emergency Management has  
requested our assistance with an exercise scheduled for Sunday May 31.  
The next RACES Drill will be on Tuesday May 12, 7:30 PM at the Fire  
Training Center (note the location change.) The CARET Group has been  
testing MT-63 on the CCARC 2m repeater. All are welcome to join in.  
ARES Members should renew their ARES registration info on KE3FL’s  
website.

Field Day: This year its June 27 & 28. Andy WO3L put out a request for  
a Field Day Chairman for this years’ activity. With strong feelings  
expressed about where Field Day should be held, the group decided to  
hold Field Day at the Fire Training Center as Class F, 100 Watts.
