[K3PZN-List] Inauguration Event Status - RACES and ARES missions

Folks;

Here in Carroll County, RACES has been asked to be on stand-by between 
Friday January 16 and Wednesday January 21. This means that RACES operators 
should have gone through their pre-activation checklists, and have their 
go-kits ready. RACES operators should keep one ear turned to the 145.410 
repeater so that if we're activated, we can immediately start our resources 
net and put together the response.

This is a precautionary action only. I'll be meeting with Al Caho this 
Tuesday evening to get any further details.

ARES has been given several missions, and is in need of operators. I have 
put together a website that has all the latest and most current information 
about this event (as well as ARES Status in the Maryland-DC Section.) Visit
