[K3PZN-List] 2009 Club Operating Award ?? Feedback appreciated

In 2009 the ARRL has the Triple Play Award (work all 50 states on Phone, RTTY, and CW).  Triple-play status is tracked on LOTW under 'Awards' 

If there is club interest, we could do our 'own version' - adapted by members of an awards committee.  Some of the requirements can be tongue-in-cheek (but real for OUR award):

Perhaps we can amend 'triple play' with something like:

(a) participant choice to eliminate up to 8 (??) states from the USA (for sake of the award)
(b) eliminate one of the modes, and perhaps lighten the load on a second mode ?
(c) given the triple play, get extra points for an HF QSO with any station having a triple letter suffix ?? (examples N3III, WB8YYY, i think i worked W5AAA this weekend ....)
(d) ??

of course we could add endorsements for WAS on each mode achieved, or WAS mixed mode ...

cost to club = some nice paper !  

we could get someone to design a much nicer certificate than the Triple Play !  we could award them at the club holiday party !  

does anyone want to join me in forming a committee, and presenting a proposal to the club board ??

Definitely we want to develop the rules soon rather than in December.

Triple Play: (in spirit of full disclosure -- my current score is 70 out-of 150 possible, mostly gotten in the ARRL RTTY and 160m contests .... I have zero on Phone, but I did make some SSB QSO's this weekend)

Different -- State QSO Party Award -- this one is self tracking/print your own certificate.  I am confident I will miss a few !  I did work MN, NM, VT and DE this past weekend but the latter 2 were tough to find ! 

Note if YYY or III QSO does count for a few extra states, it won't help the score of either N3III or WB8YYY !!
