[K3PZN-List] Operating Activities: ARRL State QSO Party Self-Award - First 4 This Weekend !

In 2009 the ARRL is encouraging hams to make at least 1 QSO in each state's QSO party -- and literally to make your own reward certificate by adding a 'stamp' for each state.  

This weekend, the first 4 states of the year have their QSO parties:

VT, MN, DE and NM -- 3 out-of-4 states are pretty rare.  

I suspect the action will be on Saturday: late morning and afternoon -- both phone and CW.  

Note if the other operator participates in LOTW, the QSO's also count toward the 2009 Triple-Play Award also !  

It's worth a little fun -- I don't plan on seeking a ARRL triple play certificate myself - but I am watching my score for fun.  

Stay tuned - we may consider our own (easier) version of the Triple Play as a club award !  (in discussion but I have received no feedback yet)

Meanwhile -- I am going to try to make at least one QSO on both CW and SSB to each of these 4 states.
