Carroll County Amateur Radio Club
Meeting Minutes, 14 April 2008

President Andy Leeds, WO3L, called the meeting to order at 7:43 PM. Eighteen
members and 1 guest were present.

Welcome Aboard Guests:

Roger Wagner.

Announcements:

The next CCARC meeting will be on Monday May 12th at the Emergency Services
Training Center in Westminster.

The next BoD meeting will be on Wednesday April 21th, 7:30 PM at the FTC.

The County RACES Drill will be held on Tuesday May 13th, 7:30 PM at the EOC.

John AK3Z brought a box of QSTs, free for the taking.

Gene KB3JHR reminded everyone to turn off the station PCs when leaving the
station.

>From the mailbag:

The club’s mailbox was empty. 

Secretary’s Report:

Steve N3SB published the secretary’s report from the February 2008 meeting to
the club’s email reflector. The report was accepted by the membership present.


Treasurer’s Report:

Tony KF3AK provided the treasurer’s report, detailing current balances, income,
and expenses. The report was accepted by the membership present. 

Board of Directors Report:

The BoD report was published to the reflector. 

Committee Reports:

Repeater – Steve N3SB wishes to serve as chairman for another year.

DCS – The next meeting will be on Monday April 28, to continue working on Roles
& Responsibilities. Chuck N3TOT wishes to serve as chairman for another year.

Station Committee – Gene KB3JHR has volunteered to serve as Station Committee
chairman for another year.

Training & Education Committee – open.

QSL Bureau – Mike N3VOP wishes to serve as chairman for another year.

Digital Committee – John K3KWO wishes to serve as chairman for another year.

TEC Committee – Rich N3III wishes to serve as chairman for another year. There
will be a meeting on Saturday morning April 19, 10:00 AM at the FTC.

Field Day – Andy WO3L and Curt WB8YYY have volunteered to co-chair this year’s
Field Day. John K3KWO has volunteered to be the Digital Station Captain. Pat
N8PK has volunteered to be a bonus point coordinator or station captain, as
required.

Old Business:

None

New Business:

Rich N3III was presented an award for his service to the CCARC as President last
year.

Evening Presentation:

Pat Kilroy N8PK spoke to the club about PICetSAT balloon flights.

President Mitchell adjourned the meeting at approximately 9:15 PM.
