Greetings To All:

Please see Bruce Carpenter's partial email that he sent to me this
morning. Tom Rill passed away a couple of weeks ago and was a member
of our club years ago. His wife is cleaning out all of Tom's ham
equipment including his two older towers, rotors and antennas. If
anyone is interested in taking down the towers please contact Bruce
via email (Bruce.Carpenter at earthlink.net). Tom's QTH is in Finksburg
located near Rt 91.

Bill:

Do you know anyone who can take down the two 30' towers at Toms place? One
is nested up against the chimney and the other is guyed in the front yard.
There are two antennas on rotors on each. The one in the front yard has a 6
& 2 meter beam. The one beside the chimney has a 432 beam and a cross
polarized for satellite work. Both have rotors and the rotor control boxes
are in the house.

I suggested that all of the antennas, rotors and tower stuff be given to
whom ever takes them down. June was fine with that. Personally, I don't
believe the towers are worth much. The one in the front yard could be used
in the future but the one beside the chimney is made of angle that is some
what rusted. I guess it could be cleaned up and re-galvanized if someone
wanted to have that done.
