[K3PZN-List] Reminder - County Exercise this Saturday August 2

Greetings Everyone;

It's me again, with a reminder that the County emergency exercise will be this
Saturday August 2, starting in the morning.

Training of this type, especially when it's done in cooperation with our
customer, the County Office of Emergency Management, is very important. It lets
us see how the county responds and manages an emergency, and it lets the county
see how we respond, and what we can do for them. 

The importance of good communications has been mentioned at EVERY after-action
debriefing I've been involved with, heard about, or seen a report on. As ham
radio operators, communicating just happens to be what we're all about. And we
have literally hundreds of years of collective experience we bring, along with
thousands of dollars of equipment, and millions of dollars worth of frequencies
to use. 

Please plan on participating in this important exercise.
