[K3PZN-List] HF Comms Check #1 this Tuesday Night, 28.650 USB

Folks;

We'll be conducting the first in a series of HF Communications tests this
Tuesday night after the CARET Net - about 8:45 PM - on 28.650 MHz USB. Please
be ready with pencil & paper to record the signal strength levels you receive
from each of the other stations that check in. Also, please be ready to operate
at two transmit power levels: 100 Watts and 10 Watts, so that we can evaluate HF
Comms capabilities at both power levels (the lower level will be much kinder to
batteries, if such a need would arise.)

In the coming weeks we will try similar tests on the other bands, as well as
some other modes. For the other modes, get your sound card interfaces ready,
because there are a couple very interesting new modes to try that can provide
some really impressive features. I'll have on that topic after we get started
with the Comms tests.
