[K3PZN-List] Kids Day - January 6, 2008

Pat,
Tom brought 3 of his Tech group, Jarret, Justin and Daniel, if I remember correctly.  The fourth was ill.  We showed them the station and talked a bit about ham radio, then got them on 20 meters with Steve doing the honors as control op.  They spent about an hour on the air working kids in IA and WI.  Since there were only 3 it worked out that they all sat at one station and took turns talking - some taking more turns than others.  When they left we gave them some literature, Pixie 2 kits and the QST magazine with the Pixie 2 article.  We had Joe, Gene, Steve, Dick, John and myself at the club site with Tony standing by in case we needed HF or VHF contacts.  But there was quite a bit of kid activity so we stuck with that.
Now if I got any of the kids names wrong or missed anyone else who was there, someone let me know.  
73 and CU Monday for Northern Lights, Jack's presentation!!!  Don't need teasers for that.
