[K3PZN-List] Field Day Proposal

To all,
This bickering is getting out of hand. If the club does not feel that the Digital Modes are worth including in the overall operation for Field Day them we can drop them and put our emphasis on getting the most points to assure a good win in our Class. I do like the Digital Modes and I have been setup in the same location 2-years running (setup on Friday each year) with no discussion of any sirius problems, that weren't corrected, between stations.

Field Day planning sessions are good and need to be announced to all with enough lead time to allow everyone to attend. I don't remember missing any, that I was aware of, last year. I highly recommend that the FD Station Captains and Field Day Chairman, whoever they might be this year, workout these bugs long before June, otherwise some of us will be having this discussion again next year.

I would like to think that Field Day is more than just another contest. It's a public demonstration of our abilities and a fun way to sharpen our skills in rapid emergency communications.

Just my thoughts for the moment,

John, K3KWO
