When was a rule implemented that allows combining
scores from two different station/locations for FD
scoring? Or do I not understand what you're talking
about.
Real secret is to keep antenna's of same band
stations at least 300 feet apart and antenna's that
are 2nd harmonic related at least 200 feet apart. 90
degrees to each other helps also. This is easy to do
if you put the antennas around the circumference of
the 1000 ft circle and the stations near the antenna
used. ie 40M SSB on one side, 40M CW on the other and
40M digital 90 degrees to both, then there won't be a
problem. The worse problem I have had in the last few
years was when a lot of planning went into the
placement of the 40M SSB antenna to reduce
interference . The digital operators never showed up
for planning, digital stations set up after FD
started. Placed a vertical directly under my 40M SSB
antenna about 20 feet away--40 SSB was almost useless.
I figured that year I lost about 200 contacts while
the digital made less than 50. Not a way to win.
Keep the antenna's spaced and use good equipment and
there will not be any real problems.
