Special Weather Statement

Winter Weather Warning
February 21, 2008
1330 Hours

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for the
Central Maryland Region for this evening through Friday evening.

A winter weather event will enter the Central region around 10-11 PM this
evening with snow accumulations of 1” to possibly 2” before changing over
to a freezing rain threat around 4-7 AM Friday morning. Freezing
precipitation is expected throughout the day. Freezing precipitation may
total up to ¼” of ice before ending late Friday evening. Temperatures
Friday will be around 30º F with winds less than 10 MPH.

The storm will be out of the region early Saturday morning with temps
rising to the mid-thirties to 40º F. This will help with melting the
previous precipitation. Winds Saturday will be between 10-15 MPH.

This event will be monitored for further updates as needed.
