Yes for this event we don't have to operate in the daytime (you can if you wish!).  Pileups will be a bit less than CQWW.  

Hours don't interfere with our Annual Holiday gathering!  

Date and Contest Period: Starts 2200 UTC Friday, ends 1600 UTC Sunday (December 5 - December 7, 2008). 

Exchange is 599 MDC - that's all you need to know!  

(OK be advised that 1830 - 1835 is for DX QSO's only by custom on this band!)

There are lots of operators to contact within 1500 miles of Carroll County - so don't fret you don't have a full size vertical!  In past years I contacted nearly everyone I could easily hear within 1500 miles (except a few deaf QRO ops) - and I was using 5 watts.  I even worked a few west coast and Carribean stations and a station in Italy!  Maybe I will do slightly better this year with a short vertical added to my yard.  

So perhaps give it a try for a little while ?  Something different - and I expect better propagation than the upcoming 10 meter contest!
