Definitely a nice success !

Al does not realize the godsend he is to Carroll County! Definitely we want explore with him how we can build greater rapport with serving agencies in our county, with how they can benefit from our skills and resources.

While Al's 'other job' to serve via his church has a different mission than ARES/RACES -- certainly we could be both using amateur radio while serving in the same relief operation in Maryland. Definitely we should explore how we can benefit from interoperability during such an event (and this will help also if Al is deployed outside of Maryland).

While we can easily crique what Al has assembled in his comm unit with volunteer/limited funding, there is stuff to be learned from his efforts. We shouldn't rule out some collatoral training/participation in the same exercise.

FYI - i am ready to go with a presentation of LOTW, so let me know if you want me to do this in Sept or October or whenever. I promise to make it more interesting than the registration process!
