[K3PZN-List] I'm curious... Kit Ideas Beyond QRP

I recently have been building antennas. I have also built a digital interface between my computer sound card and rig data interface.

Many years ago, I built a receiver and transmitter for HF that I still have. They were tube equipment.

>In addition to folk building QRP gear, other gear can be convenient to QRO and other operations. Note a recent QST article on a homebrew microphone. Here are a few kits ideas that may be of general interest:

CW Keyer:

Microphone:
Power/VSWR Meter (HF-2m):

both on this page - http://radio.tentec.com/kits/Accessory

I use all three of these items in my shack.

Homebrew has been inhibited a bit by the challenge/cost in getting parts. Those of us who homebrew generally collect a lot of parts, including some scavenging from thrown away equipment. Many RF projects require toroids - and here is an excellent source for these and a few other items, often at a lower cost than other distributors:

One still can contribute some homebuilt items into the shack. Meanwhile enjoy whatever you do in ham radio.

Does anyone have homebrewed equipment that isn't QRP?

If so, would you care to describe it?
